I want to thank the entire Xavier community for the opportunity to have served as your interim provost over the past year. Returning to a Jesuit environment I’d not experienced since high school was even more satisfying than I could have anticipated. The way that Ignatian values permeate this culture and are practiced by nearly everyone distinguishes you in ways that others can’t even imagine. Throughout your future successes and challenges, I urge you to hold those values dear and protect and preserve them.
